Snazzy Tunes - Radical Face

This came up on the ol' shuffle today and seemed like a fitting song as we transition into fall. This is one of those songs that I would consider a movie song.. you know in movies when some dramatic event happens and the main character is going through some moment of inspiration or realization? Like when a man realizes he let the girl of his dreams get away so he rushes to the airport to catch her before her plane leaves for Antarctica? This is the type of song that would be playing in the background.

Music for the weekend - Grimes

In case you haven't heard of grimes then you should probably stop what you are doing right now and listen to her/wikipedia her.

My boyfriend, roommate, and I have some strange facination with her (Claire Boucher). I don't know what it is but she is so interesting! Her and her boyfriend built a wooden boat stocked full of chickens, potatoes, and a typewriter and sailed down the Mississippi river. How crazy is that?

Like I said.. Wikipedia her.

Her album "Visions" was released in January and it is by far one of my favorites of anything I've heard this year.

This is a video for her most popular song "Oblivion". Crank it up, dance to it, roll your windows down and get weird looks from people. It's great.

Next... check out the newest video for her song "Genesis". I could do without the weird metal suit/constipated face girl.. but I sure do love the song.

Inspiration for a Happy Friday

Friday is here at last! What a loooong week. I'm going to to go to Lagoon tonight with my hunny and some family. I'm gonna ride rides til I puke! Okay, maybe no puking.

Saw this floating around on pinterest this week and loved it.

The Clothes on Me - Fall Uniform

While the weather is still pretty warm here in Utah, there has been a distinct change in the air. The leaves are starting to change, the air is crispening (if that isn't a word then it is now), and people are breaking out their boots.

I think it's pretty safe to say that most people develop a uniform each season. While I'm a little sad that I actually have to wear pants now, I'm happy that it comes with boots and scarves. I bought these boots at the Nordstroms bi-annual sale and have been hanging onto them for a month and a half eagerly awaiting the weather change. I think they will be a staple for my fall uniform along with this chambray shirt and polka dot tee. What's your summer uniform?

Snazzy Tunes - The Cinematic Orchestra

This isn't a new song for me but I have been listenening to it a lot this week. I first heard it in the movie trailer for Another Earth (great movie, I highly recommend it). I immediately had to search it out and figure out who sang it.

It is such a gorgeous song! Give a listen..
